I didn't compete at NSTA tonight...Sure, I would have loved to play but I had to sacrifice tonight to do a course as a Level C Chair Umpire.
I found the course a little daunting but I know, being a tennis official is a path for me..It was originally recommended to me by a tennis offical , Dave ( lovely guy )during the World Masters Games last year....
I was walking towards the study room when I came across 3 wheel chair tennis players having a warm-up...I was intrigued and fascinated! I kinnda share something with these guys..-that being born "different" didnt stop me from loving life, from loving tennis...I wish I could work with these guys some day...
I stopped by and chatted with them, they were sooooooooo COOL...their ground stroke techniques were awesome..I was inspired!
After the course, I called Fran (who filled in for me) for tonights match...I was happy that she played well with Bev...They rocked it!!!Im so glad that Fran had a GREAT time...she's a special woman, someone who has intorduced me to Tennis Seniors and Volunteering at Medibank International...I wanted Fran to have a good night, Im glad she did!
Tonight is pretty special..I feel GREAT!
